Overview
The Cause Inc. is seeking a Full Time Development Director, at 40 hours a week. The rate of this non-exempt, remote position will be $45,000-$60,000/year.

The Development Director provides dynamic leadership over all avenues of Cause funding. They will build relationships with current and potential donors, while also helping partners with their support raising.

The Cause is a fast-growing 501(c)3 nonprofit that works with Christian leaders who serve the underserved worldwide. We provide our partners with nonprofit structure, strategic coaching, and community so that they can accomplish their God-given visions. Our Partners work with refugees, orphans, widows, people who have been trafficked, displaced populations, and more.

Team
This staff member will have a large impact on 100+ different ministry projects, and advocate for leaders working with some of the most underserved individuals in the world. All of our staff are vision-carriers for The Cause, and we share a deep investment in and commitment to this ministry.

Essential Functions:
Donor-Relationship Development and Stewardship
- Advocate and present The Cause in front of various groups of people (organizations, churches, stewardship groups, etc.) to raise funds, increase network, and build new partnerships.
- Revamp and create strategy for The Cause Church Initiative.
- Develop and implement creative personalized donor strategies, focusing on relationship building to ensure long-term donor engagement.
- Develop donor flows and systems that focus on donor care and connection.
- Manage the internal grants program and recruit more grantors.
- Collaborate with The Cause team to develop donor resources that facilitate greater community involvement and generosity.
Campaigns and Marketing
- Spearhead marketing strategy and content with Revive Marketing (our external Marketing team). This includes campaigns, annual reports, and donor communication with the goal of highlighting impact and mission.
- Collaborate with the CEO and COO to set clear fundraising goals and strategies to meet organizational financial needs.
- Track and analyze fundraising performance, adjusting strategies to ensure goals are met or exceeded.
- Manage messaging across all channels to engage donors and increase giving.
Mission Partner Fundraising Support
- Provide strategic coaching and resources to mission partners to help them effectively fundraise for their projects or initiatives.
- Create and utilize fundraising toolkits, training, and resources to empower mission partners in their fundraising efforts.
- Collaborate with the Cause team to create and maintain a system to help HomeGrown Leaders fundraise.
Events
- Develop and help to execute a strategic plan for fundraising events within different communities.
- Coordinate community Zoom events for donors, potential donors, partners, nonprofit leaders, etc.
- Plan and execute donor meetings, events, and gatherings, to build rapport, raise funds, and deepen relationships.

Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 5+ years in a leadership position
- Proven track record and experience in fundraising required
- Nonprofit experience

Work Authorization

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Willingness to travel is required.
