Who We Are
Draw Near is a community that creates welcoming and safe spaces for women in the Seattle area to come alongside each other and take their next right step toward God.
We get our name from the special promise found in James 4:8: “Draw near to God and he will draw near to you.” We believe in the power of this promise and in the beautiful and surprising things that happen when we step out and journey toward God together!
At Draw Near, we love to have fun, get real, build community, and experience God in a fresh way. We host monthly, themed meetups where women can connect and be encouraged, refreshed, and perhaps even challenged (in all the best ways, of course!) in their spiritual lives, wherever they may find themselves along their journey.

Who We Serve
Draw Near serves women in the greater Seattle area who are spiritually curious, but not yet connected to a local church. We’ve found that many women in our region are hungry for community and open to spiritual conversations, yet not quite ready to accept an invitation to a Sunday morning service. Some carry the pain of church hurt and are looking for a place to heal, while others simply have little to no exposure to the gospel at all.
That’s where Draw Near comes in. We serve as a spiritual “halfway house” of sorts for women who need a little extra support finding their way from the world to the local church. We’re passionate about creating safe spaces for women to get real answers to their real questions – all while encouraging them towards a saving relationship with Jesus and, eventually, a connection with a healthy church.
Draw Near reaches mostly young women in their 20’s and 30’s, the majority of whom are students and career women. We also get to be a space for believers to bring the friends and co-workers they’re trying to reach for Jesus, which we love!
