J-Zone | Brooke and Anders Olson
Zambia, Africa
Brooke and Anders Olson originally from the US, currently live in Livingstone, Zambia serving as the Youth Directors for Jesus Zone Youth Africa or better known as J-Zone. Other than the Olsons, J-Zone is made up of a Zambian team who work together to minister to the youth of Zambia through after school programs, Saturday kids clubs, and camps. Additionally, J-Zone provides a free “Pantry” for the community with food parcels, school supplies, basic household items, and necessary items for expecting mothers to deliver safely in a clinic or hospital. Lastly, J-Zone also operates over 70 rural bible study centers run by local leaders.
At J-Zone we serve the next generation of leaders in Africa and therefore the world. We primarily focus on youth but also know the importance of discipling families as well.
We have been blessed with 27 hectares of land (about 66 acres) that we are building as a Youth Camp! J-Zone Youth Camps will have sports fields with soccer, basketball, volleyball, and gaga ball! And also a pool, cabins, dining hall, team house, offices and much more!
We have already fenced in the entire property and built a road from the highway. Additionally, we have been working closely with Zambian architects and engineers to put together a master site plan and building renderings. The total cost for camp is $512,000 but the first building we will build is the Team House for $82,000. This includes all necessary infrastructure like electricity, water, septic, etc. Once built, we are able to host teams for construction and evangelism and host small camps for the neighboring children.
Would you please prayerfully consider donating to camp construction and the vision God has given us? If you would like more info on construction, we can be reached at jzoneyouthcamps@gmail.com.
- For financial provision as we began to break ground on our camp property.
- For discernment and wisdom as we continue to serve the physical needs of our community here in Livingstone.
- That God may use us as a vessel to spread the good news of the gospel in Zambia.
- Peace in Zambia as the country heads into an election year.
