Little Trees Project | Linda Gillick
Texas, USA
The Little Trees Project began as a heartfelt idea from our founder and director, Linda Gillick, who felt a deep calling from God to share His love in tangible ways. Launched during the holiday season over 20 years ago, Linda envisioned bringing joy, comfort, and connection to home care residents through thoughtful decorations and heartfelt words of encouragement. What started as a seasonal outreach has since grown into a year-round mission, rooted in Linda’s obedience to God’s prompting and her unwavering desire to make His love known.
Linda’s daughter-in-law, Christina, recently joined the team as a co-partner to support the Little Trees Project with marketing and administrative efforts. Her behind-the-scenes contributions aim to help the mission grow and share God’s love with even more people.
At its core, the Little Trees Project is about reflecting God’s light and reminding people—especially those who may feel unseen—that they are valued and deeply loved by Him. Through cheerful decorations and gifts, handwritten notes and cards, and meaningful visits, we aim to brighten lives in every season, creating moments of connection that reflect the hope and joy found in Christ.
Linda’s vision, grounded in faith and guided by God’s call, has been the foundation of the Little Trees Project’s mission. Whether during the holiday season or any other time, we strive to follow His lead, spreading light, joy, and hope to those who need it most.
The Little Trees Project is dedicated to serving those who may feel overlooked or forgotten, focusing on shut-ins and home care residents. These individuals often face challenges of isolation, loss, and limited connection to the outside world, making them especially in need of encouragement, connection, and reminders of God’s love. So, our mission is to reflect God’s light in the lives of those we serve, reminding them that they are seen, valued, and deeply loved.
- Pray for Residents: Lift up the residents in prayer, asking that they feel deeply valued and loved. Pray that they experience joy, peace, and a sense of belonging in their daily lives.
- Pray for Caregivers: Pray for strength, patience, and comfort for caregivers as they serve those in their care. Ask for God’s presence to be a source of renewal and encouragement in their often challenging roles.
- Pray for the Little Trees Project Team: Pray for wisdom and unity for our team as we seek to share love and hope with residents and caregivers in every season. Ask for discernment in how best to meet the needs of those we serve.
- Pray for Provision: Ask God to provide the resources and opportunities needed to sustain and grow this ministry, so we can continue to bring comfort and connection to those who need it most.
- Pray for Spiritual Renewal and Salvation: Pray that through this ministry, hearts will be opened to God’s love, and lives will be transformed by the hope of salvation through Jesus Christ. Ask for a revival of faith and a deepening of spiritual relationships within the community.
