Outpour | Ray and Candace Ward
Mae Sot, Thailand
We are in love with our Creator, we are entranced by who He is, and how His love can reform and redeem a life. We founded our organization as Outpour Movement (now known as Outpour) in the belief that God was calling us to form community, safety, family, livelihoods and discipleship, through the empowerment of locals, refugees, and foreign volunteers in His image.
We are the Ward family, dad Ray, mom Candace along with our daughters Maile and Teanna. Our family has been living in Thailand mostly along the Myanmar border since 2005. Our adventures have been many. We have loved this country with our whole hearts and also had our hearts broken by the brokenness we see around us. We as a family have personally witnessed and participated in the salvation of thousands of souls, given a Christ centered education, as well as rescue and safety to children who have lived in “Refuge” our children’s home, and participated in many hundreds of relief, and educational training efforts in Thailand and Myanmar. We love that our story has brought us into the lives of so many who we have been blessed to walk with for many years. Our staff and ministry partners have become family in the truest sense. We believe that a powerful revival of the gospel will continually sweep across Southeast Asia through the faith and bravery of indigenous ministers.
Outpour exists to empower Kingdom bringers, both foreign and domestic, by facilitating synergy and connection between a variety of programs, projects and initiatives.
We do this by focusing our efforts on a variety of ministries such as: training in specialized job skills and English language, running a family-style home for young refugees, working to amend legal status of stateless abandoned children, and hosting ministers from Myanmar who are preparing to plant churches in unreached areas.
Our particular areas of focus are the guidance of the ministry as a whole, the care of our kids at “Refuge Children’s Home” and the church planting movement of launching indigenous ministers in Myanmar.

PLAHSOE LEGACY FUND
Our Refuge Youth Home is not just a family-style home that has taken in a handful of youth from across our border to create a safe space for them to come and receive an education and set themselves up well for the future. It’s a FAMILY in every sense of the word, and the youth who are there have been each other’s family for most of their adolescent years.
PlahSoe loved his family, and he had so many dreams for each of them. Before his passing, he was just a few months away from graduating high school and was excited to get a full-time job where he could earn more
money to help support the dreams of his siblings. His heart for them was HUGE and he wanted every opportunity for them that they could possibly have. He longed for them to get their identification so they could freely travel outside of Mae Sot like he could. He longed for them to be able to continue their education at University if they desired to keep studying.
He had already personally begun saving for all of these things for them—committed to sowing into the futures of his brothers and sisters. And our desire is to continue carrying that dream.
This legacy fund—set up in PlahSoe’s honor—will help provide continued education opportunities for the rest of the youth and kids at Refuge Youth Home, as well as help them toward getting their identification. It will help set them up well for the future and allow each one to continue pursuing the dreams the Lord has placed on their hearts.
