Ukraine has been under active attack since Thursday morning. Our partner, Allina Robie, serving at an orphanage near Uzhhorod, has been able to keep us updated. She has chosen to stay in western Ukraine to care for the orphans and the dozens more expected to come from the east.

“War will create more orphans as the economy continues to decline. Either from poverty, fear, or parents going to fight. There will be many children in need.”

This is an important reminder from Allina. She is in the western part of Ukraine where many internally displaced people (IDPs) are fleeing. She is safe for now but needs our help to care for the orphans there.

The map above shows where the orphanage is in reference to where troops are active. This map was last updated on 2/25/2022 at 3 a.m. pacific.

Orphans in Ukraine that Allina cares for.

“We expect to see more children enter the orphanages where resources and help are already stretched thin. My heart breaks. I pray yours does too. Help us care for the orphans we already know and the many more created by this war.”

Allina has expressed that they need funds for food, water, and housing. These needs are not only for the 75 orphans in their care but also for their community and IDPs from the east. They plan to take in anywhere from 35 to 45 more orphans from eastern Ukraine in the coming days.

As time goes on, their needs will continue to increase. Please give with the link below.

We hope you will also join us as we pray for Ukraine, the children there, and the civilians under active attack.
