Is it possible to play 180 holes of golf in one day?

Northwest Golf Course

Four brave golfing warriors discovered that it is possible on Monday, June 7th in Silver Spring, Maryland.

This event was hosted by beLOVE Inc., and each participant raised a minimum of $2,500 for the event. Donors gave a 1-time gift or pledged a dollar amount per hole played or par, birdie, double bogie (or worse) made throughout the day!

Board Member for The Cause, Daniel Haverkos, was kind enough to put this event together. Even when Covid restrictions only allowed four golfers on the course, that didn’t stop them!

Over $22,000 was raised for The Cause! We are overwhelmed with gratitude for the funds we’ve received from this event. Donations like this are what allow The Cause to keep running and growing. It is a blessing to be able to continue and support the work our partners do all over the world. We can’t say thank you enough!

All of the hard work, sweat, and sore arms these golfers were willing to have for The Cause didn’t go unseen. Thank you to those who gave, the four men who played, and the golfers who still raised support despite not getting to play. Your generosity is deeply appreciated!

Here is a special message from Daniel Haverkos ~

On June 7th, with temperatures reaching into the mid 90s, and an army of cicadas blanketing the golf course, we were able to accomplish the mission. Four brave souls completed 180 holes of golf, in a single day. And what is our prize for completing such a nonsensical achievement, you may ask?

Raising more than $22,000 to care for the caretakers. The 40+ missionary partners who have committed their lives to loving the left behind and the forgotten.

We are so grateful to be able to help the helpers who are freeing captives around the world. By radically, and simply, loving one person at a time.
